For the past 30 years & counting, Marv has owned & operated Cygnus Labs, LLC where he offers extensive expertise in hardware & software for laptop & desktop computers, component repair, servers & networks.

 

Persistent is a great word to describe Marv. He enjoys the myriad of challenges that come with the fast paced changes in the technology field.  In the rare chance he doesn’t know the solution off the top of his head, Marv will troubleshoot, research & keep at it until the problem is solved.

 

Marv started building a solid technology foundation during his childhood as he helped his father, an Electronics Engineer, repair & build computer systems. In 1972 Marv graduated from BYU with a degree in Electronic Engineering. This degree opened doors for diverse work opportunities including positions at Syngetics, a military integrated circuit manufacturer where he provided quality control, Advanced Audio Systems providing design & manufacturing consumer electronics & Hercules Aerospace providing engineering, supervision & quality control. Marv currently serves on the board of directors for Tooele Applied Technology College helping facilitate the education of our next generation of tech experts.
